Harvested in the early summer, this Second Flush is full-bodied with an excellent flowery nose. The muscatel and flavor is more developed as the bushes mature in comparison to the delicate First Flush. It is this harvest the big wine flavors come out. Second Flush Darjeeling is naturally sweet with the desirable astringency that makes Darjeeling teas unique. To many, this is their favorite harvest or "flush." Grown in the foothills of the Himalayas, this tea is not to be missed and earns it's reputation as the Champagne of Teas.
