The long leaf tea from Formosa gains its distinctive flavor and smoky tang from the pine fires over which it is dried. Traditionally Lapsang Souchong is produced in China. The Formosa terroir gives this tea a distinct flavor. Delicious aroma of smoke when you first open the tin, the prepared cup is mellow with the taste of the tea coming through the light smoke.
